Michaela is a 2024 Jimmy Fund Walk Hero!

This year is extra special as Michaela has been recognized as a 2024 Jimmy Fund Walk Hero. Heroes get to have a party, recognition at the race, and her very own mile marker sign along the route and finish line with her photo and a message from us. Our daughter, Michaela, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma with Bone Mets in January 2023 at age 11 months. She received eight rounds of chemotherapy at the Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as well as a seven-hour surgery at Boston Children's Hospital. After seven months, she was declared with no detectable cancer and is now a vibrant two-year-old! We will be forever grateful for her team of doctors and staff who cared for her. We are marching for Michaela!

During treatment, it was important for us to hear success stories from families going through a similar ordeal to give us hope and motivation to keep fighting. Now we wish to be that success story to give hope back to others.
