WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER
Welcome to the home base of The Avengers!
For those of you who do not know this is the third annual walk that The Avengers will be participating in. In 2022 we participated in the 5K and in 2023 we completed the half marathon. Once again this year we will be walking the half marathon from Wellesley High School to Copley Square.
The Jimmy Fund is an incredibly important cause to my family as I am a two-time Leukemia survivor and a Bone Marrow Transplant survivor. My survival is in no small part due to the Jimmy Fund and the incredible staff that work there. Each visit to the Jimmy Fund wasn't just a trip to the hospital but also a time to chat with the staff there. I made friends to last a lifetime at the Jimmy Fund and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Now as I am nearly two and a half years out from my transplant I realise how lucky I am. I have made it my goal to always help others whenever and wherever I can. The Jimmy Fund Walk is one way that I can help others, but I can't do it alone. If you are financially able, please consider donating to this worthy cause.
Cancer has no place in this world and thanks to amazing people like you, we are all the more close to a world without cancer.
