I want to introduce you to Emme, (Emerson)., our precious 3 year old granddaughter. Emme was diagnosed with (LFS) Li-Fraumeni syndrome which is a hereditary condition often associated with a mutation in the TP53 gene. This condition does not allow the body to fight off cancer cells. At 7 months, Emme was diagnosed with adrenal cancer which they surgically removed followed by surgery to remove a brain tumor. Then Emme was diagnosed with chord plexus carcinoma. After countless cycles of many drugs her parents decided she needed to grow up with her little sister instead of living in the hospital. She is with outpatient treatments with the Jimmy Fund. She is not out of the woods but has been responding to all the treatments. She is surrounded with the love of her little sister and family and trying to live a normal life as much as possible. Please donate to this wonderful Fund!!! By participating in the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, our team is making every step count toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting our team in the Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can defy cancer! Many of us have loved ones who have been affected by this disease and a cure might not be there at the moment but you can at least live a full life until a cure is found.
