Help us make a reMERKable difference in the lives of patients with skin cancer!
The Dana-Farber Cutaneous Oncology research team and the Merkel Cell Carcinoma (MCC) Center of Excellence invites you to become a member of Team reMERKable and join us in supporting groundbreaking research on MCC and other skin cancers. This will be our 8th year participating in the Jimmy Fund Walk and we need your help!
MCC is an aggressive form of skin cancer that is on the rise. The number of reported cases of MCC has tripled in the last 21 years. Yet, while this rate of increase has been faster than any other skin cancer, MCC remains an orphan disease. Despite many momentous advances in the last decade in both knowledge and therapeutic options for this cancer, there remain many unanswered questions, controversies over optimal management, and ongoing challenges for patients and families.
Team reMERKable will raise funds to support research that will help investigators at Dana-Farber better understand MCC and make progress towards curing the disease. This team also supports other skin cancers such as CSCC. We hope you will join us in this very important effort.
Please donate and/or walk with us! Our team typically meets at the 10K start line, but you can choose any length (26 miles, 10K, or 5K)!
