Our team is participating in The Jimmy Fund Walk remotely from Upstate NY! We'll complete our 5K at a local park in the Town of Owego on Sunday, September 1st. We're walking to recognize and appreciate the support Amy and the Labosky family received during her cancer treatment journey. We participate with hearts that know many lives continue to be impacted by cancer. We're walking for the patients and families still fighting every day, and we're walking to remember loved ones we've lost and their families.
We're incredibly thankful for the work done every day at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. It's truly an amazing place... made possible by its dedicated people - doctors, researchers, care teams, staff, and patients and their families.
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Our team name, Bear Strong, comes both from the "Abair" family name and the fact that many of us are from the "Golden Bear community" of Vestal, NY where friends remind us that No Bear Fights Alone.
Thank you so much for supporting our team in the Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can and will make a difference!
