WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER
By participating in the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, our team is making every step count toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer. John is one of the original Jimmy Fund walkers and has been a top fundraiser for this cause since its inception. John, Janet and I started walking together in 2017 after Janet had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier that year. We walked for 5 years before she passed away in September of 2022. We continue to walk in her memory and for other loved ones who are battling cancer or who have beaten this disease.
Your support goes directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Funds raised through the Jimmy Fund Walk enable Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
