WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER
In 2014, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma; in 2016, I relapsed and received a Stem Cell Transplant, and thanks to my excellent teams in VT and at Dana Farber, I was able to return to everyday life and spent seven years cancer-free.
In 2024 I again discovered that cancer had reentered the picture. I have been in Boston at Dana Farber since early Sept. for CAR-T therapy. I was just released from DFCI-BWH last week. Today, 10/6, together with some family members, I will participate in the 5K segment of the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai,
I would prefer if many folks made small contributions, as I know how often everyone is asked to support one cause or another.
The Jimmy Fund funded the research that developed CAR-T, a treatment option I would NOT have had in 2014.
