WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

In April of 2017 my Dad, Gary Hollis, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Over the next four years he in and out of Dana Farber for chemotherapy treatments every two weeks. He made the very most of his situation labeling himself as "a healthy guy with cancer." He loved his doctors and nurses at Dana Farber and we are all grateful for the care they provided him during his final years.

Taken from one of his Facebook posts on March 31, 2020 "I am so grateful to the many doctors and nurses that have been at my side for the last three years. Would like to personally thank Pam and Bridget, two of my infusion nurses, you will always be in my heart"

I have always walked to celebrate the Institute that took such great care of my Dad, and this year I will also walk in memory of him. Here's to the strongest cancer fighter I know! I love you, Dad.
