At age 5 I was diagnosed with leukemia and rushed into treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The doctors and nurses that treated me were always so kind and compassionate and went out of their way to make me feel as happy as I could while undergoing treatment. I will forever be grateful for Dana-Farber and I know I would not be where I am today without them which is why I choose to run for them. I know the money is going to help patients that need it and goes towards research so there can be new treatments and findings leading to less lives lost due to cancer. Now that I have finished the first year of nursing school I hope I can make the same difference that Dana-Farber had on my life on the lives of my future patients
