I have so many reasons to run for Dana-Farber. I run for my patients and their families, who show me the true meaning of strength each day in the Jimmy Fund Clinic. On hard runs I often think of certain patients and their stories to push me to finish. I run for family members who have also been treated at Dana-Farber. I also run for myself - a Dana-Farber patient in different iterations since I was 15.
This will be my second time running Falmouth for Dana-Farber. In 2022, shortly after running I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 35. I underwent chemotherapy, two surgeries, and 30 days of radiation. At each step I was humbled and relieved to have the chance to receive my care again at Dana-Farber, where the best of the best supported me medically and emotionally. I am so happy and grateful to be able to run again to support the Dana-Farber mission.
Every mile and each donation, no matter the size, supports The Dana-Farber Campaign, the Institute’s ambitious, multi-year fundraising effort, focused on supporting revolutionary research, extraordinary care, exceptional expertise, and other priorities, to help Dana-Farber accomplish its mission of preventing, treating, and defying cancer.
Thank you for your support! Together, we are helping Dana-Farber race toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
