On August 18th, I will be running the ASICS Falmouth Road Race in support of our beloved Adelia to raise money for a new Brain Tumor Center that bridges Dana Farber and Boston Children's Hospital.
The daughter of our friends Mike and Meryl McClellan, 8-year-old Adelia was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumor in February 2023. Her strength and determination willed her through 4 brain surgeries, 63 radiation treatments, and countless other procedures - and she became affectionately known as Adelia the Wondergirl.
Her spirit and bravery will be forever remembered, and her ability to rally an entire community around this important cause will have an impact that will last generations.
