I’m training to run a marathon on May 5th, along the beautiful Maine coastline, to raise money for Dana-Farber, where I received treatment for breast cancer last year. I was fortunate to be offered screening to detect cancer cells before symptoms develop; such programmes are the direct result of medical research into diagnostic techniques and disease progression.
