Thanks for visiting my page!
Last year I trained hard for my first road marathon, in order to qualify for Boston this year and I did it!
This year I am training even harder to try and bring my time to under 3 hours!
While I train hard in wind rain and slow, I am hoping to raise some money for our really important research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute!!!
Since its founding in 1947, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute has been committed to providing adults and children with cancer the best treatment available today while developing tomorrow’s cures through cutting-edge research.
Here in the Romee lab (where I work) we are working hard to develop the next immune cell therapies for cancer!
We are focussed on arming Natural killer cells with the ability to better destroy cancerous cells.
We develop CAR-NK cells targeting cancers including (but not limited to) AML, BCL, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, head and neck cancer.
However, all of our approaches can apply more broadly to the treatment of all blood cancers, or all solid tumors.
NK cells are already being used in our phase one clinical trials at DFCI to treat AML, MDS, head and neck cancer and multiple myeloma!!!!!
Help us develop the next immune cell therapies and eliminate cancer!
