Big news! On April 15, I will be running the 2024 Boston Marathon for Girly Girl PARTs /Dana-Farber, supporting ovarian cancer research led by Dr. Ursula A. Matulonis, Chief of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Dana-Farber.
Girly Girl P.A.R.T.s is an organization cofounded in 2009 by Laura Smith and the late Jill Di Tommaso. The P.A.R.T.s stands for Pre-screening Awareness Required to Silence (ovarian cancer). GGP has organized a annual 5K on Cape Cod that has raised over 1 million dollars for Dana-Farber to date. The goal is to improve screening methods for early detection of ovarian cancer to increase survival rates. You can read more about GGP here .
My fundraising goal is $5000, and every donation, no matter the size, brings me closer . It has been almost 20 years since I ran my last marathon and I really need your support. Follow my journey on social media, join me for some long runs, cheer me on, and, if you're in Boston on race day, be part of the crowd.
