In July 2022, after almost a 4 year battle, the community of Mashpee lost a great human being to cancer. Mike McGrail was not only my friend’s dad, but genuinely one of my own friends. Mike was one of my biggest supporters when I decided to run the Boston Marathon in April 2022. Having run the race himself before, he continuously gave me advice and support as I navigated the busy training block. Mike encompassed what it meant to be from Mashpee and it’s my honor to represent his character and fight during the Falmouth Road Race this year!
Every mile and each donation, no matter the size, supports The Dana-Farber Campaign, the Institute’s ambitious, multi-year fundraising effort, focused on supporting revolutionary research, extraordinary care, exceptional expertise, and other priorities, to help Dana-Farber accomplish its mission of preventing, treating, and defying cancer.
