My dad, Kevin Hartman, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer when I was 9 years old. He fought courageously for his life for three years, and I remember going with him to his chemo treatments at Dana-Farber. I thought it was the coolest place. They always had free snacks, the nurses and staff were so nice, and they seemed to really take care of my dad well. Following my fathers passing, I've always wanted to do something to honor him in a way that would matter and help other people. I hope to raise money for Dana-Farber so that other families and people that are going through cancer treatment can be treated as well as my dad was. And I hope to make my dad proud.
