On August 18, hundreds of Dana-Farber runners, including myself, will participate in the 52nd running of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race! I am training to run 7-miles along Cape Cod’s scenic coastline, while raising critical funds that directly support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute patients and families, in New England and around the world.
Hi, I’m Ellie and I’ll be running the Falmouth Road Race for Dana Farber this year because I want to raise money to support kids with cancer who are losing their hair. I want to raise money for this because these children face not only the physical and emotional challenges of having a life-threatening illness but also the hard experience of hair loss, which can significantly impact their self-esteem. By providing financial support, you can help fund wigs, head coverings, and other resources that could assist in their comfort and confidence during this difficult time. Ensuring that these brave young people feel supported and cared for is a meaningful difference that we can make to support their overall well-being and journey through cancer.
Every mile and each donation, no matter the size, supports The Dana-Farber Campaign, the Institute’s ambitious, multi-year fundraising effort, focused on supporting revolutionary research, extraordinary care, exceptional expertise, and other priorities, to help Dana-Farber accomplish its mission of preventing, treating, and defying cancer.
Thank you for your support! Together, we are helping Dana-Farber race toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
