On August 18, hundreds of Dana-Farber runners, including myself, will participate in the Falmouth Road Race! If you know me, you will know that running is not quite my specialty, but this is just too important not to participate in! I am training to run 7 miles (almost double what I have ever run as of April) and am so excited for the journey and the way it can help raise funds necessary to support the patients and families at Dana-Farber. I have seen the importance of their work through the care they provided to get my Nana back to health.
I am running on the Eagles for Dana-Farber team which consists of a great group of rising sophomores at Boston College. We have all gotten to know each other through chatting in the study lounge and, on occasion, running.
Every mile and each donation, no matter the size, supports The Dana-Farber Campaign, the Institute’s ambitious, multi-year fundraising effort, focused on supporting revolutionary research, extraordinary care, exceptional expertise, and other priorities, to help Dana-Farber accomplish its mission of preventing, treating, and defying cancer.
Thank you for your support! Together, we are helping Dana-Farber race toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
With love and gratitude,
Kathleen
