I am participating in the 2022 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.

Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and treated successfully at Dana-Farber in Summer.  Pre- and during Covid, life got busy and I never scheduled a screening/baseline mammogram until I had symptoms. Since I didn't have any history of breast cancer in the family, I didn't worry about getting a mammogram.  Getting a baseline mammogram and annual screenings are important for detecting breast cancer early. I hope to raise awareness for annual screenings and encourage my family/friends/colleagues to start/continue screenings every year.
