WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

5 years of growth and 24 inches of hair will be BUZZED OFF on October 1st in support of cancer victims everywhere.

Want to help me do it?

Three years ago I lost my beloved Aunt Janie to breast cancer. The hole she left in our lives is huge and aching and can never be filled. I remember watching her go through chemo, losing her hair, losing weight, losing everything, wishing desperately there was something I could do.

In her memory, I’m doing something now.

I'm aiming to raise as much as I can for Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund to help the science that will fight  this awful disease. As a science fiction author, I dream of a day when we don't have to live in fear of cancer (any kind!) and the horrors it brings. I want to do my part, however small, and buzz it all for a good cause.

Please consider a small donation (even $5 makes a difference), sharing this page, and/or sending your best vibes.

I’ll be sure to document the cut and keep you all posted of the where/when/how.

(To anyone who sees me after, please be nice )

Love you all!

In memory of Jane T. Sabin, 1947-2018.

We did it!!!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, contributed, or sent positive thoughts. This has been such a wonderful journey. I'll admit I was a bit nervous, but this ended up being one of the most empowering, positive, and community-building experiences of my life (which is no surprise, really, because anything done in Janie's name couldn't have ever been otherwise).

Now for the grow-out!

Love you all, thank you all, and most especially, miss you Janie
