"And I would walk 500 more..."
Since my first Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk in September, 2017, my cousin Jim and I have rallied our friends and family to raise more than $10,000, and walked 104.8 miles (that's 4 marathon walks, if you do the math).
But we can't stop now. And on October 3rd, I'm walking that marathon again.
Truth is, I would walk 500 miles (and walk 500 more) if it meant a little girl had just a little more time with her Dad. I would move mountains to change the odds for patients, so that hearing "you have cancer" didn't mean "it's time to say goodbye, I love you most."
Every dollar counts, every step counts, and patients at Dana-Farber need our support now more than ever. The COVID-19 pandemic put the world at risk, but also impacted treatment regimens and surgeries, as well as the care that every cancer patient needs to get better and move forward.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and compassionate patient care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
It's my life's mission to make the world a better place for cancer patients and their families. I'm eternally grateful for all the support I've had these past 5 years and beyond. Thank you for supporting my Jimmy Fund Walk fundraising efforts. Together, we can conquer cancer!
