WHY I'M FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO DEFY CANCER

I am participating in the 2022 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way, to raise funds for the Young-Onset Colorectal Cancer Center at Dana-Farber.  After being diagnosed with Stage 3C colon cancer at the age of 34 in 2019, I went to Dana-Farber for treatment and they truly saved my life.

I know that not everyone is as lucky as I was to have access to the kind of world-class care that Dana-Farber provides.  The funds raised from this walk will allow others have access to the same care I received.  They will also go to fund Dana-Farber's cutting-edge research into new treatments and cures that save lives and provide hope to so many.  In walking, we also help raise awareness for this awful disease so that people can get screened early.
