Hi all,
Every year about 15.780 children are diagnosis with cancer before the age of 19. For every 100,000 adults, there are 439 new cases of cancer diagnosis. Diagnosis of cancer not only effects the patient well being but also the families well being. It leads to emotional stress, financial stress and heart ache. While there is no cure for cancer yet, each day cancer research gets closer to finding a cure. Each year we are slowly able to improve the lives of patients and their families with cutting edge research.
It is because of this I am participating in the 2022 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer. I plan to walk 13.1 miles on Sunday to help fund cancer research to improve patient care in the pediatric and adult population.
When you make a gift to my Walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge research and compassionate patient care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you all for all your generous donations. It makes the world of difference to help improve the lives of our patients and families.
