On October 2, I will be walking 13.1 miles on the Boston Marathon route to raise money to fund cancer research. Advances in diagnosis and treatment are pushing the cancer death rate down each year, but cancer remains the second leading cause of death in the US.
The development of the vaccines which protect us against Covid-19 illustrate the immense value of focused medical research. Cancer, though, is not a single disease; cancer is more than a hundred diseases. Please join me in supporting the work of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
