On October 2, I will once again be lacing up for the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. The money raised through this amazing event directly supports cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber. Each of us has been touched in some way by this disease and this year I will be walking in memory of my dear friend, Arleen, who lost her battle to cancer at too young an age.
I'm also proud to announce that this year I am the Captain of Trustees Trekkers! The Trustees is the nation's first and Massachusetts's largest preservation and conservation nonprofits and it is fitting that friends and members of The Trustees join in this effort.
I know there are so many deserving causes and organizations but whatever you can contribute (truly) is appreciated and will help me reach my goal. Every step and dollar raised brings us closer to eradicating this disease.
