When my son Jake was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in 2016, Team SilverStrong was formed with Jake and sister Halle as captains and we joined the Jimmyfund Walk. It’s a magnificent event that he loved being a part of. This will mark the 4th year we walk in Jake’s memory and in doing so, we help fulfill one of his final wishes, to continue as a team to raise funds and help fund a cure for cancer.
In 1978, Jake’s uncle, my brother, Barry, passed away from Osteosarcoma. While there has been progress in the treatment of the deadly disease, it’s clearly not enough. With your help and the rapid advancements in science, we can make a difference so we continue to raise funds for Osteosarcoma research in hopes of a future cure..
