On Sunday September 22 I will be walking a 10k in Boston MA with the “Rack Pack” Team created to Raise money for the Jimmy Fund. The team was organized by my loving daughter Tayla David and her friend Amy as a way to raise awareness and funding for research. The Jimmy Fund is particularly special to me as I benefited greatly from the research for new treatments, surgical techniques and just overall care of a patient provided at both Dana Farber and MGH. When you walk into these giant hospitals terrified of the unknown they blanket you with confidence that you can do this and it truly becomes a small community of people putting their all into their job to give you the best outcome. Through this fund raiser we can give back to the community of researchers by donating and/or walking this 10k with a great group of people. Please consider donating to the below link! Donating works toward helping to eliminate cancer! 1 in 8 will develop breast cancer. 1 in 2 women and 1 in 3 men in the US will develop cancer of any kind in their lifetime.
When you make a gift to my walk, you’re directly supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s unique 50-50 balance between cutting-edge science and highly compassionate cancer care. Your support allows Dana-Farber leaders to enhance programs and initiatives that serve pediatric and adult patients and their families.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
