WHY WE'RE FUNDRAISING WITH THE JIMMY FUND WALK TO FIGHT CANCER

Thank you for visiting Teal Furnholm's Giving Page to support cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Teal was an amazing woman, a Ph.D. scientist focused on world-bettering health and environmental bio research - most recently a Senior Research Lab Specialist within the University of Michigan Earth and Environmental Sciences department. She was also a Buddhist - deeply immersed in studying the dharma, loving-kindness, and meditation. She worked to change the world throughout her life. Find more on Teal HERE.

She fought and beat breast cancer, then years later battled skin cancer, and most recently was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic melanoma. Though Teal lost her battle with cancer on June 27, 2022, she was able to live an additional three and a half years through the care of Dana Farber, the amazing doctors and other health professionals like Dr. Haq, and the targeted therapies and trials.

Dana-Farber provides expert, compassionate care to children and adults and is home to groundbreaking discoveries, and we ask you to donate in Teal's memory.
