Dedicated to supporting research in NUT Carcinoma led by Drs. Geoff Shapiro and Chris French.
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is leading the way in NUT Carcinoma research and translating laboratory discoveries to treat patients in the clinic. Your support accelerates our research efforts that enable our doctors to explore more pathways to a cure.
NUT Carcinoma is a rare and aggressive disease that is often resistant to treatment. Chemotherapy and surgery are currently the standard of care for NUT Carcinoma, yet most patients are diagnosed when the cancer is at an advanced stage when these options are no longer effective. Unfortunately, there are not any novel targeted therapies for NUT Carcinoma that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
But, there is hope. Our teams are working hard to change this by studying the biology of this disease, building laboratory models using patient tumors, and testing new drugs both in the lab and clinic. Dana-Farber also offers one of the largest and most active clinical trial programs in the country for individual’s facing a NUT Carcinoma diagnosis. Many patients with NUT Carcinoma enroll in Dana-Farber’s cutting-edge clinical trials, which provides a source of hope after they have exhausted standard treatments.
Thank you for supporting Dana-Farber’s mission to conquer NUT Carcinoma. All gifts to this Giving Page will enable the innovative research being done every day at Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center to find a cure for NUT Carcinoma.
