Conquer Cancer with Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund!
Hi everyone! First of all, I want to say thank you to Roger Dawley for having this wonderful idea. I’m so honored to be walking with Emma’s Angels this year! I’m going to be walking in honor of my dear friend Emma Hofmann who we lost to glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer a couple of years ago at only 19 years old. As Roger said, all of the funds raised for this walk will go to glioblastoma research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. (I’m basically copying everything you said Roger, it was so well written!!) I am also going to walk for my Aunt Colleen who was able to beat her battle with breast cancer, my friend Callie who beat her battle with Leukemia (twice!!) and my Papa who we lost in 2018 to lung cancer. Cancer is the worst, let’s beat it! THANK YOU!
If you are able, please consider also donating to the Emma Hofmann Memorial Fund, which awards scholarships to seniors at Emma’s school, Scituate High School. The fund also provides assistance to those in need in the South Shore area!:
