I am participating in the 2020 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk: Your Way presented by Hyundai, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer!
I'm running this year to help raise funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Why? Because the treatment and care at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute saved my Dad's life.
In 2015, my Dad was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma; blood cancer. If you google Multiple Myeloma, the outlook is bleak. The majority of MM patients only live another 4 years or less after being diagnosed. My Dad is on year 5 and thriving.
Multiple Myeloma is not a curable cancer. In fact, not too long ago, MM was viewed as an imminent death sentence. However, because of the research of institutes such as Dana Farber, we have come so far in the ability to treat this and many other blood cancers.
I am asking you to help support this research so that my Dad and hundreds of thousands of others like him may receive the opportunity to live full, long, healthy lives.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
