I will be running 13.1 miles for the 2020 Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk in honor of my friend, classmate, and neighbor, Emma Hofmann.
Emma was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, in the summer of 2014. While she passed away in January of 2017, at age 19, her spirit of warmth and empathy towards others lives on through acts of kindness, large and small.
All donations made to Emma’s Angels will go directly toward glioblastoma research at The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
I will also be running in honor of my aunt Colleen Duffey, who we lost in May of 2016 from glioblastoma at age 54.
Thank you for supporting my participation in the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Together, we can conquer cancer!
