In 2024, hundreds of Dana-Farber runners will take to the streets to participate in the 128th Boston Marathon®. The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team runs and raises funds with thousands of special people in mind. From Hopkinton to Boston, we carry thoughts of those people every step of the way.
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.

Why I run for Dana-Farber
We are all just one degree of separation from someone with cancer.
In December 2014, my father Michael Stevens was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He received an innovative treatment at the University of Chicago medical center, and he's doing great.
In May of 2023, my mother, Sharyn Miller was diagnosed with myelodysplatic syndrome (MDS), a blood disorder related to leukemia. She is receiving an innovative chemotherapy treatment at Share Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
I am passionate about running, and I want to use my running to help others. I cannot think of any better way to do this than to run the Boston Marathon to raise money for innovative cancer research at Dana Farber.
