Dear Friends,
I am running the 128th Boston Marathon in honor of my father, Peter, who passed in December 2022. My dad was not only my parent but more importantly my best friend, and his journey through illness deeply impacted my life.
He began receiving treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2019, and it was during this trying period that my family witnessed the incredible dedication and expertise of the medical team at Dana Farber. It was heartwarming and inspiring to accompany my father to his weekly appointments at Dana and see the staff treat him like a rock-star.
Now, I want to give back to the institution that gave us so much hope and ensure that more families facing cancer receive the same exceptional care and support that my dad received. Running this marathon in my father's name is not just something I want to do, but something I feel that I need to do.
