I am excited and honored to be running the 128th Boston Marathon with The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team. It has been a dream of mine to run the Boston Marathon ever since I stepped foot onto Boston College's campus and it is even more meaningful that I get to run for a charity that has impacted my family tremendously. On April 15th, I will be running in honor of my grandmother, Claudette Raposa, who lost her battle to cancer in 2017. Even though she lost her battle, it was because of the nurses, doctors, and organization of Dana-Farber that we were able to gain more precious time with her. Every donation, no matter how big or small, counts towards finding a cure!
Boston College I cannot wait to see you at Mile 21! And more importantly this one is for you Claudi! We miss you!
In 2024, hundreds of Dana-Farber runners will take to the streets to participate in the 128th Boston Marathon®. The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team runs and raises funds with thousands of special people in mind. From Hopkinton to Boston, we carry thoughts of those people every step of the way.
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.
Thank you for your support! Together, we're headed toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
