I appreciate you taking the time to visit my fundraising page. My name is Matt Harrington and I have been given the incredible opportunity to participate in the 2024 Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge. This will be my first year running and I couldn't feel more grateful or excited to join.
My motivation in crossing the finish line at the Boston Marathon will be my cousin, Nicholas Harrington. He is pictured above. Nick was nothing short of strong, in the truest sense of the word. He was a 2-time cancer survivor and fought every step of the way. Despite his strength, he passed away during his 3rd bout with Leukemia in 2016 at the young age of 21. He was the most active and driven person I have ever known. Not only do I think Nick would be proud of me, I think he will be running along side me.
Every dollar I raise will be for Nick. All the money raised through the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge is for everyone's Nick; to give everyone the chance to run and cross the finish line.
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.
Thank you for your support! Together, we're headed toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
