Hey Friends and Fam!
I am super excited to be running the 2024 Boston Marathon as part of the Dana Farber team on April 15! Over the past few years, my extended family and I have been inspired to imagine a world without cancer. We embarked on that endeavor by participating in last year's 5k challenge and raising over $120,000 for Team Imagine! However, that was only the beginning of our journey.
Like so many other families, we have been witness to the physical and mental toll a cancer diagnosis can have on those we love. On a personal level, I am committed to finding ways we can work together to reduce the amount of suffering that exists in our world (and I have a few special angels encouraging me to do so). Right now, my contribution towards that effort involves raising funds for the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research which focuses on fueling creative scientists who are making basic research discoveries which are transforming cancer treatment. My efforts will culminate in the spring of 2024 as I run 26.2 miles through the streets of Boston!
It is not lost on me that my goal of raising $12,000 will require the support of all my buds! With that in mind, I am asking for your consideration in donating whatever amount is comfortable for you. If a monetary donation is not possible for you at this time, I will gladly take all the emotional support I can muster up : ). I can't wait to share my running and fundraising updates with all the people I care so much about.
