In 2024, hundreds of Dana-Farber runners will take to the streets to participate in the 128th Boston Marathon®. The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team runs and raises funds with thousands of special people in mind. From Hopkinton to Boston, we carry thoughts of those people every step of the way.
This special person to me is my best friend Jaye and my sister in law Kelly
As most of you know Jaye got diagnosed last year with aggressive breast cancer, and just recently Kelly just got diagnosed with the same.
Dana Farber has been phenomenal in their care and treatment of my loved ones. They have approached treatment with gusto and a ready to fight this attitude. I cannot thank them enough for what they have done for those so close to me and will continue to do. This charity is really close to my heart and I am so glad to take this challenge on as a way to give back and say thank you to all they have given and continue to give to my family.
I am so excited to say that Jaye is nearing the end of her treatments and has gotten the clear to run again and she will be my team mate as well for Dana Farber as we take on the BOSTON MARATHON in april 2024!!!!!
Running is what brought her into my life and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate all her victories over this last year than to run the streets of Boston!
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Sadly we all know someone who has been faced with cancer. If you would like to make a donation to honor them and their fight, please leave their name in the comment section of your donation. I will have a list of names I will carry with me and honor them on race day.
I run for those who cant anymore, for those that fought the battle and lost, for those that will come down this path and for those that fought through the battle and won.
Thank you for your support! Together, we're headed toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE
