This year, I will be participating in the 2024 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk, taking steps toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
My family and I hold the The Jimmy Fund very close to our hearts. When she was 8 years old, my sister Giuliana was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic lymphoma. Our world turned upside down, and Dana-Farber became our second home. We're eternally grateful for Giul's amazing care team - they were able to quickly determine an aggressive treatment plan, while reassuring our family every step of the way. Because of this team, my sister is alive today.
Together, Giuliana and I will spend October 6th walking the marathon route with many others who have experienced the magic of The Jimmy Fund. We're so humbled to have the opportunity to honor the kids and their families who have been impacted by cancer in the same way that we were so many years ago.
