Our mission at Virtual is to help our clients make their mark on the world. Our drive to do so doesn’t end with our clients—it’s at the heart of the work we do with the community.
One cause that has been at the heart of those efforts is supporting the work of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Their goal is simple: to Conquer Cancer.
Since 2007, Virtual has supported Jimmy Fund Day at Boston’s Fenway Park. We became involved through our relationship with Bob Russo, the first General Manager of PCI SSC. Bob’s son, Rob Russo, had a two decade long battle with GIST—a rare form of stomach cancer that ultimately took his life in 2021.
As the years passed, our involvement became more personal. First, in 2009, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer that metastasized to my lymph system. Thanks to the work of doctors at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, I remain cancer free today. And in 2021, our company’s founder, Bruce Rogers, succumbed to Glioblastoma—a particularly aggressive form of brain tumor.
I’d like to invite you to support our involvement with Jimmy Fund Fantasy Day. It’s a great day for a great cause.
Thanks,
Andy Freed
