Please join, Saturday, June 8th 2024, at the Eliot Circle end of Revere Beach for our 3rd annual James Rosatto Walk on Water benefitting Dana-Faber Cancer Institute. The walk takes off at 10:00AM sharp.
This walk is in memory of East Boston’s former local resident and business owner, James “Jimmy” Rosatto.
Jimmy was health conscious, exercising and eating well. He walked Revere Beach every day. The shock of his life came in the form of Liver cancer. Sadly, the cancer was not caught in time. Without being given chance to fight off the disease, less than seven weeks later, James passed away.
It is for this reason, raising funds for early detection of liver cancer and other gastrointestinal cancers such as pancreatic, colorectal and stomach cancers has become a family mission.
In collaboration with Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Jimmy’s family walks his walk supporting the world’s largest liver cancer prevention study which aims to better understand who is at greatest risk for developing the caner and why. Donating enables continued research in finding the best way to screen for cancer in the future to greatly improve patient outcomes.
Jimmy’s family, invite the local community to take part in this important initiative.
“Join me in supporting Dana-Farber's lifesaving mission on Dana-Farber’s Giving Day, May 22nd! All donors who make a gift to my page of $50 or more on Giving Day, May 22nd by 11:59 PM will receive a Jimmy Fund hat (while supplies last). Thank you for your support!
