My Dad had run the Falmouth Road Race for 14 consecutive years before he got diagnosed. He was selfless and radiated positivity with an unparalleled passion for love, life, and people.
My Dad was constantly giving his time, effort, and money to improve the lives of everyone around him. He was an active member of the community and he always found a way to make a silent impact on the many lives he touched. Following his example has given me many opportunities to connect with people with different experiences than me, giving me a perspective on how to make an impact. This is the start of my continuation of his legacy.
My Dad was my number one fan. He was my life coach who motivated me, inspired me to set goals, and drove me to be my best. Since I was little, I strived to make my Dad proud whether it was in academics, athletics, in the community, or at home. There is much I haven’t done yet but I’m determined to make him proud. Last Falmouth Road Race was the start of my journey following his legacy and I am so happy to be continuing that again this year.
I am so excited to be running for Dana Farber again this year. They helped my Dad fight day in and day out to watch me and my siblings grow up. While his cancer was too severe to cure, the amazing doctors and nurses in Dana Farber's oncology department did their best to keep him as healthy as they could.
I am so grateful to them and to all of you who have supported my family and me these past six years. If you have even a few dollars to donate to our team it would be very appreciated.
