I am so excited to share that I will be running the 2025 Boston Marathon for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute! This will be my first marathon, and I can't think of a more meaningful cause to fundraise for.
Dana-Farber has touched my family this past year through my cousin Lauren, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in March of 2023. Thanks to the treatment and care she received at Dana-Farber, she is now in remission. Lauren is one of the strongest people I know, and the best mom to her two kids (ages 5 & 3). I can't wait to honor her bravery and resilience on race day!
I will also be running in memory of my three grandparents who we’ve lost to cancer–my grandfather John in 1994, my grandmother Sue in 2020, and my grandpa, Bob, who passed away on Marathon Monday in 2019.
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Together, we're headed toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
