As many of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023. After 18 months of treatment, including 16 rounds of chemotherapy, 30 rounds of radiation and 7(!!) surgeries - I’m relieved to share that I’ve finally completed the physical part of my journey. However, as anyone who has experienced this or knows someone who has can attest, finishing treatment doesn’t mean the battle is over. The mental aspect can be just as challenging, if not more so.
When I was first diagnosed, I told my family that once I came through this experience, I wanted to help others facing similar challenges. I am committed to that goal and will be running the Boston Marathon in April 2025, exactly two years after my diagnosis. I’ll be running for Dana-Farber, an incredible organization dedicated to cancer treatment and research, working to find a cure for this devastating disease.
Over the next 6 months, I’ll be raising funds for Dana-Farber, and every dollar will support their vital work. Together we can make a difference and move closer to a cure. The goal is for everyone to have the same outcome as me, and I would greatly appreciate your consideration in donating to help me reach my fundraising goal!
Thanks everyone !!
Allie
