This April, hundreds of Dana-Farber runners will take to the streets to participate in the 129th Boston Marathon®. The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team runs and raises funds with thousands of special people in mind. From Hopkinton to Boston, we carry thoughts of those people every step of the way.
The very recent passing of my father, who faced multiple cancers with incredible bravery, gives this year a different significance. For the past 18 months, Dana Farber has played a crucial role in our lives, and we are deeply thankful for that. My father and our family eagerly anticipated our days at Dana Farber, which provided not only hope but also the chance to spend meaningful moments together and form new friendships. Although our hearts will never fully heal, the memories we've created will help brighten our darkest days. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to create more memories in his honor this marathon Monday with Dana Farber.
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.
Thank you for your support!
Together, we're headed toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
