I am honored and excited to announce that I will be running the 129th Boston Marathon as a member of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge Team. The DFMC Team raises money to support the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.
This charity is very personal to me as I am living proof that cancer research works. When I was 4.5 years old I became a patient at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund Clinic. For over two years I received life saving cancer treatment at Dana-Farber. Because of Dana-Farber’s cancer research I am living life as a sophomore at the University of Tampa.
