This April, hundreds of Dana-Farber runners will take to the streets to participate in the 129th Boston Marathon®. The Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team runs and raises funds with thousands of special people in mind.
This year, cancer affected my grandmother Bobbie in many ways. Bobbie was diagnosed with three types of cancer in March 2024. She underwent treatment to remove multiple tumors which included the removal of her left eye. She stayed strong throughout her diagnosis and the treatment that followed. She completed weeks of radiation and is grateful for all the amazing medical staff in Boston that helped her along the way.
This year I am happy to be running for an organization like Dana Farber that strives to advance cancer research for all. One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Thank you for your support! Together, we're headed toward the ultimate finish line: a world without cancer.
