I am so excited and honored to be running the 2024 Boston Marathon on behalf of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute! I am looking forward to preparing for this race while supporting Dana Farber's incredible mission.
1.9 million people are diagnosed with cancer each year. I am running on the Dana Farber Marathon Team to improve the lives of people affected through advocacy and education. Cancer has directly impacted my family; my grandmother passed away from breast cancer in 2022, and my grandfather passed away from bladder and colon cancer in 2003. They were both pillars in my life; I miss them dearly and am looking forward to running on behalf of each of them.
One hundred percent of every dollar raised by the DFMC team supports the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds are fueling some of today's most promising basic cancer research.
