Many Jimmy Fund Walk teams are a combination of family, friends, and communities who come together to make a difference. Teams often rally together in honor of a loved one to show their support.
M.O.M. (Moms on a Mission) has been participating in the Jimmy Fund Walk since 2012.
“We walk for all of the families whose lives change forever after a cancer diagnosis. We walk for all of those patients and families who can't walk with us, but who are still walking though their cancer diagnosis. We are moms, sisters, and aunts of cancer patients and their caregivers.”
Many companies and organizations start a team or sponsor the Jimmy Fund Walk through a financial or in-kind contribution. The Jimmy Fund staff is available to offer guidance and provide resources every step of the way. Contact Samantha Rose, Corporate Teams Coordinator, to learn more.

“WE ARE THE TOMORROW MAKERS! Each year colleagues, friends, and family members take strides to make a brighter tomorrow for someone. We are walking to raise funds in the hopes of not only making a difference in someone’s tomorrow but also to make cancer history!”
Work together, walk together. All Dana-Farber employees are encouraged to walk or volunteer, and participate alongside our courageous patients and their families. All employee walkers and volunteers will be invited to events throughout the year and will receive a special patch to wear on Walk day.
Dana-Farber Employee led teams are also eligible to earn the coveted Golden Sneaker Awards: Excellence in Fundraising, Pacesetter Power, Rookie of the Year and Staff Spotlight.

“I walk in memory of my father who died of cancer, my brother who recently was diagnosed with cancer, and for all the patients who entrust their care to us here in Milford.”
