I can’t make the event; can I still support the Jimmy Fund?

Yes! We rely on generous donors like yourself to support Dana-Farber’s mission to conquer cancer. You can make a gift online or sponsor a Scooper Bowl kit for a Dana-Farber Cancer Institute health care hero by adding a "Sponsor a Kit" ticket to your order.

I just made a gift by credit card. What will appear on my bank statement?

Your online transaction will appear on your credit card statement as: DANAFARBERJIMMYFND. If the transaction is pending, you may see PENDINGBB appear, which is normal. Should you have any questions regarding what appears on your statement, please email our Donor Services team at askCS@dfci.harvard.edu. We can also be reached by phone at 800-525-4669 or 617-632-2903.

What is a matching gift? How do I submit a matching gift?

Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage their employees’ support of charitable organizations. Contact your company’s human resources department for information about how to have a gift matched, or search for your company to see if it provides matching gifts to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my gift?

All gifts made online will receive an email confirmation, which includes tax information. Gifts of $15 or more made by check are acknowledged with a letter. For gifts made by check that are less than $15, the cancelled check will serve as your tax receipt.

Is the Scooper Bowl website secure?

Yes. All information submitted online is subject to the Jimmy Fund Privacy Policy. Please read the Jimmy Fund Privacy Policy before submitting any personal information.

Premium kits also include Scooper Bowl gear, additional ice cream, and a golden ticket guaranteed prize! Check out our kit details page so you know what to expect in your kit.

Where and when can I pick up my kit?

Kits will be available for pickup August 19-22 at four locations in the Greater Boston area. You must select one of these locations during online purchase. For the full schedule, check out our kit details page.

Do I have to pre-order my kit?

As we do not anticipate having additional kits for sale during the drive-through pickups, please pre-order your kit online in advance.

Can I purchase a kit for someone else?

Scooper Bowl kits make a great gift and you are welcome to purchase them for someone else! If you purchased but will not be the one picking up the kit, please forward your confirmation email to the person who will be picking it up or contact us at Scooper_Bowl@dfci.harvard.edu or 857-215-5025.

Does my ice cream come in a cooler?

Your ice cream will come in an insulated box. We encourage you to bring your own cooler to ensure your ice cream stays frozen on the drive home!

What health and safety precautions will be in place at the drive-through pickups?

For the safety of our staff and participants we will require everyone, including those in vehicles, to wear a mask at all times. Participants will be asked to remain in their vehicles at all times while on site. Kits will be placed in the trunk of each vehicle by a staff member.

What do I need to bring with me when I pick up my kit?

Please have a print or electronic version of your order confirmation email ready to show staff upon arrival. Everyone in the vehicle must wear masks while participating in the drive-through.
